The tether system has such many advantages characteristics as the light weight, very long structure, and autonomous construction. The tether system is able to be constructed advantageously if any such failure as severance can be avoided. The crawler system is expected to play an important role in the course of the maintenance of the tether system. The equations of motion are formulated for the tether system equipped with the crawler by using the Kane's method and the method to include the constraints. Results of numerical analysis show an efficient performance through the employment on the tether
