Among various candidates for deployment and shape-forming strategies for Solar Sails, ISAS/JAXA has been focusing on the deployment via centrifugal force. In the summer in 2004, the deployment experiment using an S-310 sounding rocket is planned. The aim of this experiment is to enhance the precision of numerical analysis by observing the membrane with 10 meters diameter in high vacuum and non-gravity environment. In addition, the deployment experiment of the membrane with 20 meters diameter is planned.
