Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency(JAXA)(ISAS)), Sagamihara, Kanagawa Japan, Recently, WPT (Wireless Power Transmission) has been studied for the energy crisis, the environment problem and the space exploration. In order to avoid the energy crisis due to the shortage of fossil fuel and the global warming due to the excess generation of CO2, the SSPS (Space Solar Power Station) has been studied and proceeded for several decades. The SSPS is the system which DC power generation is carried out in the space by a solar battery and the converted energy into the microwave is delivered to the earth as one of the green-eco energy. This concept is tried to extend into a local area and home as wireless power transmission.In additional, it is expected to charge a battery which is mounted on the lunar rover by WPT. It has been proposed for the lunar rover to charge a battery with a wired cable and solar power system. However charge using a wired cable has some challenges that are moving restriction, degradation of a wired cable due to high temperature change. Solar power system also has issues of a moving limitation in the dark and at night.In this paper, we propose a new charging scheme to the lunar rober by WPT.
