The range of a tension is expected to become micro level in 10(exp -2) N in micro power to control the structure in space. The SSPS (Space Solar Power System) Project is as an example to control the vibration of the structure by using the tether technology. This is a system that generates electricity, converts the electric power into the microwave in space, and transmits it to the earth from space, and tether is used to control the vibration of the solar panel. The tether moves in accordance with the panel vibration and the speed resulting in the tether. A contact less measurement device is expected in order to measure the micro order tether tension and speed from the point of the observation. The method of measuring the tether tension and the speed without touching tether is studied in this paper as a contact less measurement method. The tether tension can be measured without any disturbance in this method.
