A concept of active-mirror amplifier with transparent Nd/Cr:YAG ceramics is proposed under consideration how to convert a wide spectrum of sun-light to monochromatic laser light. New ceramic material pumped by an arc-metal-halide lamp has been implemented experimentally as a fundamental prototype for the space solar power station. CW laser light generated in a 1,064 nm Nd:YAG master laser oscillator was amplified so that a spatial mode of laser output has been improved to a quasi-single mode. The maximum output laser power obtained was up to 3 W with an input lamp power of 9 W resulting in an optical-optical conversion efficiency of 33 percent that was close to the theoretical prediction of 40 percent with keeping spatial beam quality., 資料番号: AA0049121018}, pages = {84--88}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA/ISAS)}, title = {宇宙エネルギー利用を目的とした太陽光直接励起固体レーザーの開発}, year = {2006} }
