抄録(英)
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) developed a small demonstrator of solar power sail named IKAROS "Interplanetary Kite-craft Accelerated by Radiation Of the Sun". IKAROS was launched on May 21st 2010, and succeeded in deploying solar power sail on Jun 9th. We develop the new mechanism to realize the deployment method of IKAROS. We proposed the deployment method that consists of two stage deployment sequences, that is, a quasi-static sequence of the first stage deployment and a dynamical sequence of the second stage deployment method. We could demonstrate the deployment method and the function of new mechanism in orbit.
In this paper, we introduce the deployment mechanism for solar power sail of IKAROS, and report on flight data of sail
deployment mission.
