| 内容記述 | 衛星搭載機器、特に光学系を持つ機器では、衛星からのアウトガスの影響により軌道上でその性能が劣化することがある。そこで、衛星からのアウトガス量を減少させるために、一般に衛星のベーキングが行なわれる。ベーキングによるアウトガスの減少量を評価するには、アウトガス量の正確な測定が不可欠である。Astro-E2衛星では、2004年春に約10日をかけて衛星ベーキングを行なった。その時、TQCMを用いてアウトガス量の計測を行なったので、その方法について詳述する。また、測定から得られたアウトガスの性質について、Astro-E衛星での結果と比較しながら議論する。Astro-E2では、この衛星ベーキングにより、軌道上でのアウトガスの影響を大幅に減少させることができた。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | Performance of various instruments on-board a satellite could be degraded by the outgas from the satellite on orbit. In order to prevent such degradation, satellite baking in a vacuum chamber is often employed. It is essential to measure the outgassing rate accurately during the baking to evaluate the reduction of the outgas on orbit. The satellite baking of Astro-E2 was carried out for about 10 days in the spring of 2004. A TQCM was used to measure the outgassing rate, which is described in detail in this report. Also the nature of the outgas is discussed in comparison with the case of Astro-E. Large reduction of the expected outgassing rate of Astro-E2 on orbit was succeeded through the satellite baking. | |||||||||
