火星には、これまで数多くの陥没地形（HoleまたはPit）が、Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter搭載HiRISEによって得られた画像などに見つかっている。こうした陥没地形は、溶岩チューブなど火成活動起源の地下空洞に開いたものと考えられる。火星地下空洞は、将来火星基地の建設地として最適であると同時に、火星生命体の存在も期待される重要な地形である。そこで本報告書では、陥没地形「Pit」としてHiRISE チームのデータサイト「http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu」に登録されたものの中から、過去において火星北半球に存在していたとされる海洋の海岸線付近に存在するエリシウム山（東経145度、北緯25度）周りの、特に地下空洞の上に開いたと思われる陥没地形 (skylight hole) を整理しリスト化した。リスト化にあたっては、1) Pitが含まれるHiRISEデータ全容、2) Pit の領域周辺拡大画像、輝度強調画像、3) Pitの火星全体内での位置、エリシウム山周辺域での位置、を１頁内に収めるように配した。また、その頁には、緯度経度等の情報を表にして示した。 |

A lot of pit (or hole) structure have been found on Mars in the images of recent explorers such as HiRISE onboard Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Martian pits were probably formed on the underground large voids such as lava tubes or lava caves. Martian subsurface void is significant as future Mars base and possible habitat of Martian life. Here we list up skylight holes of subsurface voids possibly opened on the subsurface voids, from "pit" features registered by the HiRISE team on their home page site (http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu), We especially focus on pits found at the foot of Elysium Mons (145E, 25N) that is located near possible coast of past ocean existed on the northern hemisphere. We summarize the following information in one page: 1) HiRISE full image data containing a pit, 2) images around the pit zoomed up and enhanced for radiance, 3) location of the pit in the Mars global topography map and in the topography map of Elysium Mons region. On each page, we also place a table summarizing information of location of each pit and photometric conditions of HiRISE imaging the pit. |
