In a previous work, Haigh type tensile and compressive fatigue limits were studied about specimens of ordinary constructional steel after plastically deformed by statical tensile or compressive stresses. In this paper, Ono type rotational bending fatigue limits' were studied in the same way as in the previous work. Arranging the experimental results by the absolute values of natural strain corresponding to the preworking stresses, the fatigue limits changed similarly both for tension and compression. Comparing with the annealed states, the fatigue limits decreased by about 4 % for strain smaller than about 3%, and then the limits raised to about 15% for the larger strain. This tendency seemed to be similar to that of yielding point for bending. The changing rate of rotational bending fatigue limits were similar to those for the tension compression fatigue. |
