An onboard miniature data-logger was developed for Piezoelectric sensors in a large scale impulsive facility HIEST. Sampling rate, sensitivity and duration of the logger were 500kHz, 16bit and 200ms. The size of the logger was 70mm x 60mm x 72mm including batteries, which run 2 hours or longer. Four Piezoelectric type amplifiers and high-speed Analogue-Digital converters were also included in the logger. The logger will be worked autonomously and wait a trigger with measured signal output from sensors. Trigger threshold and pre-trigger length were able to be adjusted arbitrarily. Measured data was stored to static memories, which data was transferred via USB interface after wind tunnel test. Using the data-logger, thick sting can be off use, which was concerned to be interfered with the wake flow of the model. In the present test campaign, four wind tunnel shots were conducted to demonstrate the whole measurement system. A cone model with blunted nose (nose radius 20mm) was applied in the test campaign, a Piezoelectric accelerometers (PCB 352C65) and a Piezoelectric pressure transducer (PCB 113A21) were instrumented inside the model. Pressure record and axial force record were measured under H(0)=4MJ/kg and P(0)=14MPa condition. The measurement revealed that the system will be worked correctly in the harsh environment in HIEST. |
