1998年から数回にわたり東京薬科大学による航空機を用いた成層圏、対流圏での大気中粉塵のサンプリングが行われ微生物の採取が行われた。その結果、大気圏上空では地上で採取した菌よりもより強い紫外線耐性の菌が多く存在していることが明らかとなった。しかし、航空機を用いた実験では飛行高度の限界が12kmであった。それ以上の上空にはより紫外線に強い菌の存在が予想される。そこで、より高高度での観測と長時問の大気採集が可能にするため大気球を用いた成層圏における微生物採集実験が計画された。宇宙科学研究本部では微生物採集装置の開発、製作を行い気球に搭載して微生物採集実験を行った。本論では新採集装置の開発、製作、本装置を使用した計2回の微生物採集実験の飛翔結果について報告する。 |

The microorganism sampling experiment of the stratosphere and the troposphere was conducted by using the airplane by Tokyo University of pharmacy and life science. As a result, the bacterium of a strong ultraviolet rays tolerance exists in the stratosphere compared with the bacterium sampled on the ground. However, limit flight altitude of an airplane is about 12 km. Therefore, to sample the atmosphere in a higher stratosphere, the balloon experiment of ISAS and Tokyo University of pharmacy and life science was planned. The device to sample the thin atmosphere was jointly developed. This paper deals with newly developed thin atmospheric sampling device to take microorganism. At first the design concept of this new sampling device is explained in detail. Then the actual device construction and some result of its flight are described. |
