A balloon-borne stratospheric air-sampling system for measurement of the trace gases CFCl_3,CF_2Cl_2,CO_2,and for analysis of ^<13>C/^<12>C, is described. The system consists of six sampling cylinders, sample inlet line, motor-driven valves, and control electronics. Paticular consideration is payed to the problem of contamination, and various techniques are used. The construction features and operating techniques are given. Preliminary esults of the first sampling experiment are also presented. |
