Reel-up/down balloon-borne winch is developed and improved in order to observe stratospheric vertical microstructures. In order to reduce the power consumption in reeldown, we developed a system with a hysteresis brake and a magnetic brake. This system was used in an observational flight of stratospheric turbulence in September 1983. We carried out three times scannings of a 13Kg payload through 1000m. |
