| 内容記述 | A new method of echo detection is proposed which is based on the principle that an echo appears as a delta function in the impulse response function of the optimum predictor for the signal containing the echo. The delta function showing the existence of the echo is scarcely overlooked because of its sharpness and easily detectable even if the band width of the time series is not wide enough and if the delay time of the echo is small. Experiments of sound propagation and flexural wave propagation show the effectiveness of this method. Comparison between this method and correlation method is also shown. | |||||||
