| 内容記述 | Let ωx and ωy represent the components of the wind velocity, which are assumed to vary with x only; V the velocity of an aircraft relative to the air, assumed to be constant in magnitude. Let O be the starting point of the aircraft and X its destination, the distance OX being l. Then the condition that the time of flight is minimum should be 「numerical formula」In the Euler's differential equation derived from the above, if the terms involving the squares or products of ωx/V, ωy/V and y', which are supposed to be small compared with unity, be omitted we get Vy'=ωy+C (V+ 2ωx).The solution under the condition that y=0 at x=0 and l, is 「numerical formula」,which is an approximate extremal for the required flight path. An approximate expression for the course is 「numerical formula」Simple practical methods of tracing graphically these curves are given. | |||||||||
