The separation of laminar boundary layer was observed in the flow of water by hydrogen bubble technique and hot-wire velocimeter. The purpose of experiment is to compare results of two different methods. The separation was caused by 4 different devices including a fence, a semi-cylinder in the boundary layer and sepsration from trailing edge. In all cases we observed the remarkable disagreement between two results. It is clear that in order to understand complicated turbulent flows we have to use all available devices and fuse them by numerical computations. |
