This questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain basic design data concerning pilots’ subjective workload or strain in the flight phases near the airport,information items which pilots and flight engineers feel they need to solve take-off and landing problems,and also concerning pilots’ acceptance of a proposed integrated head down display system.All data thus obtained were of great use for designing and producting the color integrated diaplay system.Seven questionnaires including the above items were constructed and administered to 1,800 pilots and flight engineers who were with either All Nippon Airways or Japan Air Lines.Out of this eventually 662 of those subjects filled each questionnaire item. |
