The vibration of the rotating disk is analyzed with the finite element method, with consideration given to the effect of the centrifugal force. A fan-shaped element is proposed for the first time by the authors for the analysis of both in-plane and bending deformations of the shell structure. The calculated results of the natural modes and their frequencies of a model disk are compared with the experimental ones, and the both results agree well quantitatively. |
