Feasibility studies of searching new magnetar candidates by the GSC on-board MAXI are presented. The GSC/MAXI can marginally detect a faint ca. 1 mCrab source with only 7 days time integrated observations. Furthermore, the faint ca. 1 mCrab source is clearly detected by observations with a 30 days exposure time. A survey of the galactic plane (|b| <= 5) by the GSC/MAXI may find numerous new magnetar candidates and may reveal new frontiers of magnetar studies. |
