滑走路面のグルービングは、良く知られている通り、航空機が湿潤滑走路へ離着陸する際のハイドロプレーニングを防止する上で非常に効果的である。しかし、滑走路面に航空機タイヤのゴムが付着すると、グルービングの初期の性能が低下してしまう。そこで、滑走路面の粗さを測定し評価するための新しい方法を開発した。さらに、この方法を用いて、東京国際空港においてゴム除去直前および直後における滑走路面粗さ測定試験を実施して、グルービング滑走路安全管理のための参考資料を提供した。 |

It is well known that the grooving on runway surfaces is highly effective to prevent the hydroplaning during the airplane take-off and landing on wet runways. But, the initial performance of the grooving deteriorates due to the rubber deposits on runway surfaces. Therefore, a new method of measuring and evaluating the runway surface texture was developed. Using this new method, surface texture measuring tests of the grooved runway at Tokyo International Airport were conducted right before and after rubber removal. The operational runway texture data obtained can be used as a reference to provide safe management of grooved runways. |
